The book calls Liaquat Ali Khan the right-hand man of the Quaid رحمۃ اللہ علیہ and the first Prime Minister of Pakistan.
His biggest duty was to draft the constitution. The book says that despite modern secular influences he held that Islamic teachings, the base of the ideology of Pakistan, must be put into force.
He guided the drafting of the Objectives Resolution. It became the guiding principle for later constitutions.
Liaquat Ali Khan presented it in the first Constituent Assembly. It was approved on 12 March 1949.
Point 1, sovereignty of Allah Ta'ala: all rule over the universe belongs to Allah Ta'ala. Power given to Pakistan is a sacred trust, used by the people's representatives within His limits.
Point 2, Islamic principles: democracy, freedom, equality, tolerance and social justice as Islam defines them will be put in force.
Point 3, Islamic way of life: Muslims will be able to order their lives, alone and together, by the Quran and Sunnah.
Point 4, minorities: non-Muslim minorities will be free to follow their religions and develop their cultures. The rights of backward classes will also be protected.
Point 5, federal system: provinces will have autonomy within limits set by the constitution.
Point 6, fundamental rights: freedom of thought, expression, belief, worship and association for all citizens.
Point 7, independent judiciary: courts will work without any pressure.
